It’s time to take a look at one of our very favorite Tom Cruise movies! With such well known classics as Top Gun, Jerry Maguire and The Mission Impossible movies under his belt, it’s easy for people to forget that Tom Cruise is great at playing humorous roles. Join us as we present our true and correct opinions on one of Tom’s best comedic movies: Knight and Day.
Smartass Summary: Tom Cruise kidnaps Cameron Diaz.
Slightly less smartass summary: The spy one that isn’t Mission: Impossible.
Ok ok, REAL summary: A girl lies to get on an airplane, and is swept into the adventure of a lifetime.
Buttered Popcorn loves this movie! It’s one of our very favorites. We could watch it again and again! Tom shines a quirky but dedicated super-spy, and Cameron’s great as the feisty, relatable young woman who unwittingly becomes the crucial player in a deadly game of keep-away. The movie is FUNNY. It’s so much fun to watch, and it’s clever and exciting at the same time.
If you haven’t seen this movie yet, go out and fix that, STAT! Or rather, stay IN and fix that! You can buy your copy on iTunes! Check it out here:
Happy Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s our favorite day of the week, the day we set aside some time to celebrate Tom Cruise!
This week, we’d like to talk about the preview for M:I-Fallout – what we loved and why we’re excited for this movie to come out! We did something similar with American Made when the trailer came out, and it was lots of fun. Here’s a little bit of loveliness to get us started.
The new “Mission: Impossible” poster is here! We at Buttered Popcorn have been beside ourselves with excitement, the poster is BEAUTIFUL. It pushes all our Badass Spy Movie (TM) buttons.
More on that later! Looking at the new poster got us thinking about old posters, and how much we love the Mission movies. Our excitement was just too much to contain, and we decided we HAD to come over and make a post!
What are we up to? How about a “Throw Back Thursday” post with the most well-known “Mission: Impossible” posters? Let’s do it!!
Naturally, we’ll start with the first one – the movie that started it all!
Beautiful, right? Nothing says “spy action thriller” like a profile over the mysterious and (during the Cold War) sinister spires of some Eastern-European buildings. And the lines give us that hint of tech that says awesome gadgets are in our future. This poster is everything it needs to be!
Welcome to Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s time to celebrate Tom!! We’re ready for another Picture Day. We have “Knight and Day” on our minds, since we have a review coming soon. Here’s a pic of our favorite super-spy/average-lady-thrust-into-adventure team!
We love this scene so much! Look out for our review very soon. While you’re waiting, why not check out the movie on iTunes?
Welcome to Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s our favorite day of the week, the day we set aside to celebrate Tom!
We’ve got a great reason to celebrate Tom today, and it looks like Tom has a great reason to celebrate, too! As most of his fans know (as well as anybody who follows celebrity news), Tom recently injured himself while working on Mission: Impossible 6.
Many people speculated that Tom had undershot the mark and broke his ankle trying to land on top of the building he was jumping toward. Of course, we at Buttered Popcorn never doubted for an instant that Tom meant to land at the side of the building and scramble up. This is Mission: Impossible, after all! And you can bet if Ethan is jumping from one building to another, he’s trying to get away from something, or catch something, and it’s not about to be an easy task!
Naturally, soon after we made our opinions known on social media, Chris McQuarrie confirmed in his interview with Empire magazine, what we already knew: Tom was meant to hit the side of the building. Honestly, it you look at the difference, there’s no other conclusion to draw!
Welcome to Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s our favorite day of the week – time to celebrate Tom!
Recently, we noticed that many people have been buzzing about the Golden Globes. We’d like to congratulate all the winners – Hooray! But, of course, we were a little miffed to notice that Tom Cruise was not listed among the nominees this time. We’re pretty sure this is because he’s being “saved” for the Academy Awards, and we’ll find out if we’re right toward the end of this month!
In the meantime, here’s a couple of lovely pics of Tom at awards ceremonies! And don’t forget to check out Tom’s two awesome offerings of 2017:
Picture time!! This time, we felt like putting out three pictures instead of just one! Here are three pictures of our lovely Mr. Cruise at award ceremonies. Enjoy!! 😀
It’s time for our favorite day of the week! Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s time to celebrate Tom, and what better way to start off the new year than with a picture post?
