Guys!! I’m sure you’ve already seen this, but nothing wrong with taking another look! The Mission: Impossible – Fallout trailer dropped Sunday, and we are SO excited!!
I mean… SPEECHLESS!! We’ll just let that sit there for a bit…
…
Okay, that’s enough meditating on the awesomeness that is this trailer, it’s time to scream about it!!
We are absolutely FLOORED! The suspense, the intensity, the ETHAN JDHAKJGJEIDUINSVRKMAKWURHBF
!!!!!!!!!! *DED* WE CAN NOT WAAAAAAAAIT!!!!!!
Favorite quote? “Maybe we should reconsider that.” WE ALMOST DIEEEEED!!!!!
How about you?? What’s your favorite part? We might make a more coherent post soon but for now, thanks for joining us on Tom Cruise Tuesday!!
Welcome to Tom Cruise Tuesday! It’s our favorite day of the week, the day we set aside to celebrate Tom!
We’ve got a great reason to celebrate Tom today, and it looks like Tom has a great reason to celebrate, too! As most of his fans know (as well as anybody who follows celebrity news), Tom recently injured himself while working on Mission: Impossible 6.
Many people speculated that Tom had undershot the mark and broke his ankle trying to land on top of the building he was jumping toward. Of course, we at Buttered Popcorn never doubted for an instant that Tom meant to land at the side of the building and scramble up. This is Mission: Impossible, after all! And you can bet if Ethan is jumping from one building to another, he’s trying to get away from something, or catch something, and it’s not about to be an easy task!
Naturally, soon after we made our opinions known on social media, Chris McQuarrie confirmed in his interview with Empire magazine, what we already knew: Tom was meant to hit the side of the building. Honestly, it you look at the difference, there’s no other conclusion to draw!
Tom breathes through it. Such a trooper! ((Picture by ABC News))
Normally at Buttered Popcorn, we don’t pay much attention to the news. So many times, the media has been unkind to Tom, and many articles include little snide remarks about Tom, even when they’re saying something that’s positive. So, normally, you won’t see news stories about Tom around here.
Today is an exception! We found out some great news, and Tom Cruise Tuesday is the perfect place to bring it up! According to Deadline, The Will Rogers Motion Piture Pioneer Foundation has chosen to honor Tom with the Pioneer of the Year Award! Tom Cruise Tuesday is all about celebrating Tom, and Buttered Popcorn couldn’t be happier about this news!
Tom accepting his Golden Globe for “Jerry Maguire”. Twenty years ago! OMG we’re old…
Not only will Tom be given a high honor, this is the first time an actor will receive the award. Before now, the award has only been given to industry executives! Tom Cruise is making history, and we couldn’t be more proud!
What does it mean to win this award? well, it means Tom Cruise is awesome, of course! We knew that already, but the award points to special parts of his awesomeness:
“The Pioneer of the Year Award is given to a respected member of the motion picture community whose professional leadership, service, and commitment to philanthropy is exemplary.”
We agree, award people! And we congratulate you, Tom Cruise!! If anyone deserves to break the mold and win an award that’s never been bestowed on an actor before, it’s you!
We can’t wait until April 25th, when we hope that someone will put out a video of the award ceremony! If they do, we will try to post it here, or at least post some quotes from the ceremony. We love it when people say nice things about Tom, and there’s sure to be plenty of that happening at the ceremony!
We’re SO excited for Tom Cruise! Here’s a few of our favorite pictures just because!
Happy smile, right in front of some famous award or other.
